We are seeking a Bid Writer to join our established Business Development team and be a part of a company that really makes a difference.

The post holder will work closely with the Business Development Director, Senior Leadership Team and other parties to continuously develop Omnes Healthcare’s business interests.

Please note these responsibilities will either be fulfilled personally or by effective delegation, and many will involve planning with the Business Development Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for the organising, managing and delivering of PQQs, bids and tender returns and generally supporting the Business Development team.

  • Oversee the bidding process, including bid writing, development, and submission.
  • Collaborate with the Bid Manager and Finance team to ensure all bids are compelling and competitive.
  • Take a hands-on role in developing, writing, editing, and formatting high-quality winning
  • bids, particularly at the early stages of framework submissions which tend to require case studies
  • Write and edit high quality formal NHS bids from PQQ to final submission and presentation including writing/editing drafts and ensuring that the commissioners scoring criteria are met.
  • Gain a deep understanding of potential clients’ needs, tender requirements, and business operations, and where their needs can be met by Omnes
  • Work in a multi-disciplinary team in preparing written information on our experience, capabilities, and proposed project approach
  • Ensure all proposals are proofread, meet tender programme requirements, and align with our bid management standards
  • Identify and engage with expert contributors and associates as necessary
  • Work with Group team members to determine bid writing strategies and manage bid timetables, deadlines, and necessary meetings effectively to ensure timely compelling submissions
  • Helping to maintain and improve our answer repository on an ongoing basis 
  • Write and edit high quality formal NHS bids from PQQ to final submission and presentation including writing/editing drafts and ensuring that the commissioners scoring criteria are met.
  • Providing and writing quality answers for pre-qualification and tender documents
  • Process and translate technical information into readable, engaging prose. Review and edit content for structure, coherence and consistency. 
  • Keeping pace with the developments and changes of the company, to ensure that submissions continually improve
  • Contribute to the achievement of the bid pipeline by prioritising, planning and organising own workload. 
  • Support stakeholder engagement and mapping, identifying partnership and key relationship opportunities both via research and event/face to face engagement. 
  • Communicate effectively with staff at different levels of the company (clinicians, operational staff and the Senior Leadership Team). 
  • Successfully work on multiple projects and bids simultaneously, delivering work to deadlines and often under pressure. 
  • Ensure continuity and ‘win themes’ evident throughout the bid document. 
  • Strong relationship management skills – both internal and external to build a cohesive bid team.
  • Research potential business opportunities, gathering information from a diverse range of sources and presenting it clearly and concisely for Board review. 
  • Attend Market Engagement events.

Role Requirements

  • Degree educated preferable
  • Demonstrable ability to write effective, concise and compelling content while under the pressure sometimes associated with deadlines.
  • Experience of healthcare advantageous
  • A history of working with Microsoft Office programs, as a minimum to include intermediate level with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook. 
  • Exceptional time management skills, able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • The ability to work under pressure and ‘do all it takes’ to deliver work to deadlines
  • A flexible approach to work and willingness to travel in the UK
